R134A vs R1234YF — what's the difference?
Different cars use different refrigerant gases. We service both — so whatever your vehicle, we've got you covered.
R134A Refrigerant
The standard air-con gas used in most cars manufactured before around 2017. It's been the industry standard for decades and remains widely supported. If you drive an older or mid-range vehicle, this is almost certainly the refrigerant your system uses.

R1234YF Refrigerant
The newer, more environmentally friendly refrigerant introduced under EU regulations and now fitted to virtually every car manufactured from 2017 onwards. It has a dramatically lower global-warming impact than R134A but requires specialist equipment to handle safely — which we have on-site.
